Why?
The question is what is it you are looking for ?

The six player board is for 6 players, i.e. what it adds is the 6 player. So if you want to play 6 player get the 6 player board.

Whilst realms adds variety in board setup (for both underground and the base game). So if that is what you are looking for get Realms.

If you want to add overall more variety consider getting the base instead as that adds a map and additional races and special powers.

Or if you just want more race and special powers just get one of the other race/special power based expansions.

Really depends what you are looking for.

I was actually searching for a way to play with 6. Then I saw that Realms also included maps for 6 players and thought that some variety wouldn't hurt. But looking through all the maps, I saw that most of them are for the original game...

I did have the original, but found Underground much better so I sold it. I am not necessarily interested in more races, was only wondering if there was a way to easily convert the Realms maps for the original game to Underground maps. But it doesn't seem to be that easy.

Hello,

I sent a few questions to customer support and I thought I would share the answers with you (sorry about my poor english):

Question:
Soul touch.
This it how I hope this power work:
1. I put my race with soul touch in-decline.
2. In THE SAME TURN I flip all my in-decline tokens from my previous race to active and immediately play a turn with them (after collecting the appropriate amount of token, as if this was a new combo pick).
Is this the correct way to play this power?

Answer from customer support:
Soul touch:

By reading the rules, you can see that the race in decline activates on the next turn.

"Instead of picking a new Race on your NEXT TURN
you activate your previous In Decline Race."

That means that when your race with soul touch goes in decline, you have to wait until next turn to revive your race and play.

Question:
How does the Skag attack markers work in interaction with behemoth, dragon and elves?

Answer from customer support:
If you attack a region with a skag attack marker, you loose one race token unless you use the dragon master power which cancels the stag attack marker. You won't loose the Behemoth, only the accompanying race token. If you attack a region with a skag attack marker with Elves, you will loose a token like any other race.

Question:
I still have two questions about the Skags.

Player A has the skags as his active race. Player B tries to conquer a region occupied by player A and finds a loot token trap there.
Player B loses one token and must cancel his conquest - unless he used the dragon.

However:
1. Does player A also lose one token (+has to remove any tokens other than the one he lost from the area)? Or is the conquest canceled before he loses a token?
2. If player B attacked with 5 tokens - can he use these to try to conquer other areas or does he have to put these aside until his conquests are finished?

Answer from customer support:
1. The conquest is cancelled, so the Defender (Skag) doesn't lose anything. Just remove the Loot token (this area is off limit for player B this turn though)

2. He can use the 4 left tokens to attack elsewhere

I hope this helps! I would appreciate if someone with the small world app could confirm these rules.

After more than two and a half months complete radio silence I got my replacement parts this week (except the tray), so don't give up, folks!

That's very interesting. Unfortunately, I don't think the races and powers from the Spider's Web expansion have been programmed yet.

Some questions left to be answered about Skags:
If a conquest with a Behemoth is cancelled, can this Behemoth be used again to attack somewhere else?
If the Sorcerers conquer by converting a lone Skag token, but that attempt is cancelled, does the new Sorcerer token revert back to a Skag token or is it lost? And can the Sorcerer player still use this power against the Skag player?

If a conquest with a Behemoth is cancelled, can this Behemoth be used again to attack somewhere else?
I say yes! As you're allowed to use any excess race tokens left over as stated in the last answer from customer support ("2. He can use the 4 left tokens to attack elsewhere") I think the same should apply to the Behemoths. The conquest is cancelled before successfully performed.
If the Sorcerers conquer by converting a lone Skag token, but that attempt is cancelled, does the new Sorcerer token revert back to a Skag token or is it lost?
Maybe like this: The conquest is cancelled before the sorcerers use their power - so I say the skags are left untouched and the sorcerers lose one token? However i'm not sure at all...
And can the Sorcerer player still use this power against the Skag player?
Sorcerers converting ability count as a conquest. As the skag attack token cancels the conquest I think you should be able to use the ability again against the skags in an other area. The action was never performed because the attack token cancelled it.

This is my own thoughts - not confirmed facts.

What do you guys think are the best expansions for this game? I have acquired a copy of the base game and am looking to expand it.

If you want more races and powers go for Cursed!, Grand Dames, Be Not Afraid and Royal Bonus.

If you want an extra game element, pick up Tales & Legends.

If you want to play it with 6 players (3 teams of 2), pick up the Six Player Board.

I would NOT get Realms, unless you plan to get Underground along side it. Realms needs both the base game and Underground to be useful.

For a slightly different take on Realms, it will allow you to make some DIY maps instead of always having swamps, forest, etc. in the same place every time you play. There are scenarios, but you can also use it creatively to mix up the board layouts.

Hi, I've just discovered this post! I was looking to a way to have such a plate so...

Great job, but as far as I can see, the plate does not fit perfectly to the hole unfortunately... Do you think it would be possible to change a little bit the dimensions or...?

Domercq: Awards by Hammond will work with you to tweak the plaque however you like. Email or better yet call and speak to Lisa. She'll take care of you!

Can you confirm me that the 4 angles do not fit perfectly for the moment...? I guess they should be a little bit smaller.

That's odd as it appears everyone else that has gotten one, including myself, hasn't had an issue with them.

I know this would be a very niche market with a small potential customer base, but at least for my own usage, I was thinking about creating some sort of organizer system to improve setup time of the Designer Edition.

I would definitely love to have a tray to hold the coins so they don't have to be piles on a table. This tray could probably fit in the space where the coins go.

Does anyone have any ideas for things that might make the game faster to setup and more fun to play? Would anyone else be interested in something like this?

I'm just looking at the images posted : the plaque looks great, but it seems not to fit perfectly on the right... (and the corners on the right)

So, I would be interested in adapting the original file to obtain sthing that fits better, as much as possible
